We welcome two new members, Dr. Gengsheng Weng and Searle (IC) Duay!

Dr. Gengsheng Weng is an Assistant Professor at Ningbo University. He got his PhD in Polymer Science and Engineering in 2012. He will stay with us for one year. Welcome!

IC is from Philippines. He is a new PhD student, co-advised with Dr. Alfredo Angeles. Welcome!

Mr. Abdulllah Alamri joined our group as a new PhD student! He earned MSc degree in polymer science from King Saud University in Saudi Arabia. His research interests lie at the interface of polymers and nanoparticles areas. Welcome!

Our paper on “Electrocatalytic oxidation of alcohols, tripropylamine, and DNA by ligand-free gold nanoclusters on nitrided carbon” was accepted for publication in ChemElectroChem. Congratulations to Huiqin and co-authors!

Dr. Yu Huang will spend one year with us. He is from Sichuan, and currently an Associate Professor at Ningxia Medical University. Welcome and enjoy, Yu!

Anthony Federico and Aaron Lopes, two undergraduate researchers from Hybrid Materials Laborotary, have presented their research in annual Undergraduate Research Symposium of  the ACS CT Valley on Saturday April 23rd, 2016 at Mount Holyoke College, South Hadley, MA. Anthony gave an oral presentation on his work on the preparation of hollow carbon materials. Aaron did a poster presentation on his research on the ligand-mediated selective oxidation of styrene using metal nanoclusters. Excellent job, folks!
